Description
Bow windows consist of 4 windows joined together to form a curved viewing area.
They are similar to bay windows, but with an extra window to lengthen it.
Each window can either be a fixed frame window ( inoperable ), or more commonly a casement window which can be cranked open for ventilation.
Bow windows also project from the side of a building like bay windows. This creates a nook that can be used for a window seat or as a display area. With four windows, a lot of natural light can be brought into a room.
Installation and Build
Because of the extra window and curved shape, bow windows are typically more expensive than bay windows to install.
